This show has become a favorite of myself and my son over the past month. It’s such a surreal and satisfying hour of television every week (we’ve been watching reruns on Palladia) and by surreal I mean this week we got Daryl’s mom and sister showing us how to make apple sauce while Fitz and the Tantrums jammed with Daryl and the band and a couple weeks ago it was Frank Stallone making meatballs and rapping with Chiddy Bang. It’s just ODD but in the most surprising and amazing ways. If you aren’t watching it go to their website and jump into the archives. You won’t regret it.
And yes, that’s Shawn Pelton on drums. The house band is always phenomenal.

I’m not going to pretend I’ve never downloaded from a file sharing site - but these days I buy the music I want to hear because it’s easy, and duh, the quality and diversity of music I get to hear is directly related to the artist’s ability to continue making it.
The article is long but rewarding and enlightening. I couldn’t find any small part more important than another to quote from so I’m quoting only the one humorous, snarky bit that made me lol.
Congratulations, your generation is the first generation in history to rebel by unsticking it to the man and instead sticking it to the weirdo freak musicians!

Whenever my son has gone out on tour for any length of time I have trouble sleeping at night thinking of all the bad things that could happen to him far from home. Sounds like Carridale may make them all happen during one tour! I can’t even imagine how your mom, girlfriend and bandmates are coping Nathan. Take better care of yourself when you get out of the hospital and lay off the ibruprofen!
PS - I donated a little bit to help cover the cost of the ball joint. I hope you have health insurance to cover the ulcer.

J. Crew is helping me in saluting and supporting a fellow Alabamian, in hopes to prove to the rest of the world that some of us actually do lead successful and sophisticated lives, (I’m obviously referring to Mr. Reid here) as well as wear shoes and use proper sentence structure on a daily basis (with the exception of the occasional “ya’ll” added into our vocabulary…you’ve gotta’ keep it colorful, people!)
